These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Removal Ruislip provides waste collection and rubbish removal services within our service area. By making a booking, using our services or allowing our team to access your premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:
Customer means the person, business, or organisation that requests or pays for the rubbish removal or waste collection service.
We, us, our means Rubbish Removal Ruislip, the service provider.
Services means any rubbish removal, waste collection, clearance, loading, transport, disposal or related work carried out by us.
Waste means the items, materials and rubbish that you ask us to collect and remove.
Contract means the agreement between you and us for the provision of the Services, formed when we confirm your booking.
We provide rubbish removal and waste collection services for domestic and commercial customers. Our typical services include collection of household waste, general rubbish, bulky items, garden waste and certain types of light construction or refurbishment waste, subject to these Terms and Conditions and applicable waste regulations.
The precise scope of the Services for each booking, including the estimated volume or weight of waste, the access arrangements and any special requirements, will be agreed at the time of booking based on the information you provide.
We do not provide services for all categories of waste. Hazardous, clinical, chemical, or specialist regulated waste is excluded unless expressly agreed in writing and subject to additional conditions and charges.
You may request a booking by telephone, email or any other contact method we make available. When you contact us, you must provide accurate information about the type and approximate quantity of waste, the property access, parking arrangements and any special circumstances that may affect the service.
Based on the information provided, we will give you an indication of price and availability. This is not a binding offer. A booking is only confirmed when we issue a clear confirmation of the booking details and price, verbally or in writing. At that point, a Contract is formed between you and us on these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking where we reasonably consider the job to be unsafe, not feasible, outside our service area, or where the waste description you have provided is inaccurate or incomplete.
You must ensure that we have safe, reasonable and timely access to the collection address on the agreed date and time. This includes arranging any necessary parking permits or access permissions and providing clear instructions to our team.
You must be present at the property, or arrange for an authorised representative to be present, unless we have agreed otherwise in advance. The person on site must have authority to confirm the waste to be removed and to sign to accept completion of the service.
All waste intended for collection should be clearly identified and, where reasonably possible, placed in an accessible location that allows us to load it safely. You must not include items that are prohibited under these Terms and Conditions or under applicable waste regulations.
If access is restricted, unsafe, or significantly different from the details provided when booking, we may be unable to complete the service, or additional charges may apply to reflect the extra time, labour, or equipment required.
Our charges are normally based on the volume and type of waste collected, labour time and any additional services required. We may provide an estimated price range at the time of booking, which will be confirmed or adjusted on site after we inspect the waste.
All prices quoted are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We will clearly communicate the final price before commencing work. By allowing us to proceed, you accept the quoted charge.
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service, unless we have agreed alternative payment terms in writing. We accept common electronic and card payment methods, and may accept cash at our discretion. For business customers, invoicing terms may be agreed separately, subject to credit approval.
If payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the statutory rate and to recover all reasonable costs incurred in seeking payment, including any legal or collection fees.
You may cancel or amend your booking by contacting us. To avoid a cancellation charge, you must give us reasonable notice. As a guide, we ask for at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled collection time for domestic customers, and at least two working days for larger commercial or multi-load bookings.
Where sufficient notice is not given, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee to cover our costs, including staff, vehicle allocation and any third-party charges, up to a maximum of the estimated service price.
If we arrive at the property at the agreed time and are unable to gain access, or the waste is not available for collection, we may treat this as a late cancellation or abortive visit. In such cases, an abortive visit charge may apply.
We may need to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as vehicle breakdown, severe weather, accidents, road closures, illness, or regulatory issues. Where this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable to arrange a new appointment. We will not be liable for any loss arising from such cancellation or delay, but any pre-paid charges for unperformed services will be refunded or applied to a rescheduled booking.
If, upon arrival, the volume or type of waste is materially different from that described at the time of booking, we may revise the price accordingly. We will inform you of any change and seek your approval before proceeding.
If you do not accept the revised price, we are under no obligation to carry out the service and may charge a reasonable call-out or abortive visit fee to cover our costs.
You are responsible for ensuring that the waste presented for collection is accurately described and does not contain items that are prohibited or require special handling, unless previously disclosed and agreed.
Prohibited or restricted items may include, but are not limited to, asbestos, clinical or medical waste, chemicals, solvents, oils, fuels, gas cylinders, explosives, pressurised containers, radioactive materials, paint tins with liquid content, and any other hazardous or controlled waste that we are not licensed or equipped to handle.
If we discover prohibited items within the waste, we may refuse to collect them, remove only the acceptable waste, or withdraw from the job entirely. Additional charges may apply for any time spent and for any necessary safe handling or segregation of such items.
We operate in accordance with applicable UK waste management laws and regulations. This includes holding appropriate registrations or licences for waste carrying and ensuring that waste collected is transferred only to authorised facilities for treatment, recycling or disposal.
Where required by law, we will complete or obtain a waste transfer note or similar documentation for certain types of waste or commercial collections. You agree to provide any information reasonably required to complete such documents accurately.
Title to the waste passes to us when it is loaded onto our vehicle, subject to our right to refuse prohibited or non-compliant items. Once collected, we will manage and dispose of the waste in line with legal and environmental obligations, prioritising reuse and recycling where reasonably practicable.
You must not request or encourage us to dispose of waste unlawfully. We reserve the right to report any suspected illegal activity to the relevant authorities.
We take health and safety seriously for both our staff and customers. Our team may refuse to carry out work that they reasonably consider unsafe, including where there are trip hazards, structural concerns, aggressive animals, or unsafe access such as unstable lofts or roofs.
You must inform us of any health and safety risks at or near the collection site, and you must take reasonable steps to ensure a safe working environment. This includes keeping children, pets and other occupants away from the working area while our team is present.
We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the Services. Our liability to you for any direct loss or damage caused by our negligence or breach of contract is limited to the amount paid or payable for the specific service in question, unless otherwise required by law.
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity or any similar economic loss, arising in connection with our Services or these Terms and Conditions.
We are not responsible for accidental damage to items that you have clearly identified for removal, as such items are treated as waste at the time of collection. You must ensure that no items intended to be kept are mixed with or placed near rubbish for removal.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under UK law.
We will take reasonable care when moving items through your property. However, clearance work can present a risk of minor scuffs or marks, especially in confined spaces or where large or heavy items must be removed. You should take reasonable precautions, such as protecting floors and removing fragile items from the working area.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects at your property, or for any deterioration resulting from normal handling of waste and bulky items. If you believe we have caused damage, you must notify us as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the service, providing reasonable evidence.
We will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time, but timings are estimates only and may be affected by traffic, weather, operational issues, or other factors beyond our reasonable control. We will not be liable for delays or for any loss resulting from late arrival, provided we use reasonable endeavours to keep you informed and to complete the service as soon as reasonably practicable.
We will handle any personal information you provide in the course of making a booking or using our Services in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We collect only the information needed to administer your booking, provide the Services and manage our relationship with you.
Your information may be used for customer service, invoicing, legal compliance and, where permitted, to inform you about relevant services. We will not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with service providers who assist us in delivering our Services, subject to appropriate safeguards.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our Services, please contact us as soon as possible so we can attempt to resolve the issue. We may ask for details of the service, the nature of the complaint and any supporting information or photographs.
We will investigate complaints in a fair and timely manner. Where we find that we have not met the standards reasonably expected, we may offer a remedy such as a partial refund, a price adjustment or a repeat visit, depending on the circumstances.
We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law, regulatory requirements or our operating practices. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that Contract. We may provide you with an updated copy on request.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as deleted, but the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions, and any Contract formed under them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of our rubbish removal and waste collection services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
